In connection with my advanced evening studies for master electrician in Cologne, I decided to study electrical engineering specialized in energy technology at the superior technical college in Cologne. 

During my studies I focused on "superconduction at high temperatures" in the electrotechnical field of stoppage of short circuit of high-temperature superconduction. 
In this field of "superconduction at high temperatures" I wrote my end-of-course project - at Nexans SuperConductors GmbH in the chemical park Hürth-Knapsack - with the title: 

"Research into the development of the characteristic limit curve of an alternating current impulse cutting system for the characterization of the limiter of high-temperature superconduction short circuit current". 

As both learning and teaching were a great pleasure for me, I worked as a teacher of the following subjects during and after my studies:

  • mathematics

  • applied mathematics

  • electrical engineering

  • physics

  • electrical machines

  • metrology

  • digital processing of signals 

  • station technology

I carried out the teaching activities on the above-mentioned subjects as a secondary occupation in the afternoons from October 1st 2002 to March 31st 2005 at the Rhein-Erft-Academy. Among other things, I wrote notes for the subject of "electrical installation electronics". 

From March 1st 2003 to March 31st 2005 I was in charge of the course for master industrialist on measuring, control and regulation technology. 

At present I am an active member of the assessment committee for master industrialist in electrical engineering. 

From December 2002 to September 2005 I worked as an electrical engineer at Frank Wagner Technical Office in the field of Detail- and Basic-Engineering. There, I became familiar with all the projects in the field of measuring, control and regulation technology. 

At the beginning of 2004 I started to work on the planning for the construction of a replacement combustible station for the company Infraserv Knapsack in the Task Force Team, which had to be carried out in the chemical park of Knapsack. 

In that work I was in charge of the preparation of the technical specifications in the following fields:
- earthing, potential equalization, lightning protection and overvoltage protection
- electrical distribution, electrical installation and lighting 

 
I have been working for the company Tractebel since October 2004, which is constructing a deposit of LNG for the Reganosa consortium. In this project I am in charge of: 

  • Calculation, engineering and design of:
    - earthing, potential equalization, lightning protection and overvoltage protection
    - electrical distribution, electrical installation and lighting of the building 
     

  • Supervision of work, reception and setting in motion of:
    - earthing, potential equalization, lightning protection and overvoltage protection
    - electrical distribution, electrical installation and lighting of the building 
    - electrical distribution, adjustment and wiring for external lighting
    - secondary cable routing and cable tracing 

I have been in Spain since October 2005, by order of the company Tractebel, so as to carry out the above-mentioned duties.
